Outdoor Instructor Training Course Open Day

If you are interested in becoming an outdoor instructor- or gaining more qualifications, Mendip's fast-track Outdoor Instructor Training course is an option to consider. You are invited to take part in one of our free activity open days! It's a great chance to work out whether the course is the right fit for you. On the day you'll have the chance to:

• Visit our country Lodge, the accommodation for the 18 week course
• Take part in several outdoor activities for free! These could include climbing, caving, kayaking, archery, frisbee golf and axe throwing.
• See a busy outdoor activity centre in action
• Find out about day-to-day life on the course
• Meet our team, including past graduates of our training courses
• Ask as many questions as you like
• Secure a space and put down a deposit

Structure of the day. The day will start at 10am with tea and coffee. We'll go for a tour of our site and you will have the opportunity to take part in an outdoor activity or two! Lunch will be provided and we can cater to all dietary requirements. We'll be done by 4pm.

Kit List. We suggest you wear loose clothing and good footwear that is suitable for moving around. If it's due to be wet or cold, please bring suitable weatherproof clothing. 

Accommodation. You're welcome to camp at Mendip the night before the open day. Please let us know in advance so we can arrange this. Alternatively, we can suggest local hotels and B&Bs.
