OUTDOOR INSTURCTOR JOBS

We are recruiting for outdoor instructors to work at Mendip Activity Centre on full-time and seasonal contracts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
You’ll work in a variety of outdoor environments with a wide range of groups. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team to facilitate activity sessions. Each day, you could be training new instructors, working with schools, corporates, families, private groups, or individuals. The majority of our instructors work for us year-round, whilst some choose to work seasons.

This is more than just a job. You won’t just be an instructor: you’ll be a coach, a facilitator, a mentor, a guide, an inspiration. We’re looking for enthusiastic people to inspire others through exciting adventures.

Your attitude and personality are paramount to us: we’re looking for someone who has a positive outlook, professionalism, promptness and who works well under pressure. You’ll possess strong communication skills, great presentation skills and enjoy a varied and challenging programme.

Working at Mendip

The main benefit of working for a family-owned, independent activity centre is that we value your contribution. You will become part of the Mendip family where talent is recognised and rewarded with opportunity. We also believe in training and will support you with any relevant training plus free recreational skiing/snowboarding, family and friend discounts for our activities, camping and cafe-bar.

We believe in the Outdoors, Adventure and Growth. The outdoors is the ultimate classroom. It relies on us and the work we do. We take real pride in this responsibility and it inspires everything we do. Outdoor activities are intended to challenge people physically and mentally so they move beyond their comfort zone, access adventure and achieve life-changing opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP

Mendip's Activity Instructor Apprenticeship is an alternative way into a career as an outdoor instructor.

In return for working at Mendip Activity Centre and getting involved in all areas of centre life, you'll receive national governing body training and be paid an apprenticeship's wage.

We have a March and September intake.
